zc swap need help
i just got a single cam zc non v-tech (plan on boosting) its suppose to be a 97 OBD2 right .Well im putting it in my civic ex it had the single cam v-tech (blew up) d16y8 the new motor is d15b. Full swap tranny, motor, ecu,but big problem the ecu's don't match. The zc ecu is obd2 because my brother has 96 integra and ecu clips right in. but it wont clip in the civic. Is the 99 civic a diff. OBD or what . There's cast molding of 95 on the back of the zc ecu and a 98 on the back of the civic ecu is that the manufactured year.Should of just drooped in i heard. Also the idle control speed motor is diff. the one on the zc has three wires and the civic has only two .I know that the non v tech's come that way but where do i hook the extra wire. Or could i just swap throddle bodies.
yes your plugs are different
where did you get an obd II d15b swap anyways.
Whatever here is what you do. IF you y8 head is still good, put it on that d15b (non vtec) motor (read bauley's minin me swap), use y8 IM and TB (is your car automatic or something, because that only auto EKs used 3 wire IAC that's located on TB).
This way you could still use you y8 ecu, have vtec, and avoid all the other BS.
