Default ACURA rear badge

how do i go about removing this badge? is it welded on or held in by screws, i didn't get a good view of it tonight in the dark trying to feel for something holding it onto the inside of the hatch.

it doesnt have screws, but there are holes in your trunk if you remove it. the only proper way to remove it is by having a body shop shave it off. it'll run you around $200-300.

thats shaved.

Use floss and remove it that way. It'll leave two holes though. I decided not to shave mine but paint it black so it matches my black car.

Just took all my emblems off a week ago and bought a front and rear "H" badge from the dealer. I'm waiting until I get the rear "HONDA" badge to put them all on.
I wanted to get the holes shaved but the shop said it would run me about $180 which is definately not worth it.

after some dumbass tried to steal my emblem unsuccessfuly.. he cracked it and broke half of it off.. that left 1/2 an emblem on my car.. and 1/2 on the floor since it was cracked he/she didnt take it.. anyway i used dental floss and you basically floss the emblem out between the emblem and the paint/body.. it cuts through the glue that holds on the emblem.. near the center the emblem is held on by 2 pegs.. there will be 2 off center holes in your trunk where the embled used to be..

probably either cuz their high school kids with no cars and just think the emblem is cool or something because they like the cars, or someone stole their emblem so instead of buying another one they become an *** and steal someone elses.. or i dunno maybe their just losers ..the fool who tried to take mine wasnt even successful..there was a scratch on the paint where he jabbed the screwdriver.. another one where he pried it.. AND he broke the emblem and didnt end up taking it.. what a dumbass!!!

Yea.. I feel your pain. My rear has no sign. $180 for bond n paint isin't worth it... The velcro set up aye? I just went to Home Depot and bought the velcro, i stuck the fuzz side where the emblem used to be and bought a red, yellow, n blue one "A" sign. I stuck velcro behind each of the signs so i can put them on when i drive then take em off when i park or leave my car somewhere for a period of time. When i'm lazy I don't put the sign on... it's pretty kool, prevents you from getting jacked again. It looks weird when you see a car with fuzz on the front of its bumper (when i don't have a sign on).

haha i would be too lazy to stick on that velcro emblem.. well on mine at first i took out what was remaining of my emblem (use dental floss to cut thru the emblem/epoxy/glue) then took out 1/2 the emblem.. i got LEDS (12V) for computers (red) and pulled out the little emblem black prongs (the one that attached to the body)..then i got 2 appropriate sized LEDs and tapped it into the brake light... so theres like 2 red dots when i press the brake.. their the flat/flush LEDS.. i rolled around like that for a while.. then i got rear ended.. and hehehe the guy who hit me his insurance paid for the shaving hehehe
