CTR, ITR, or aftermarket cams?
I guess I would say go with ITR or CTR if you are on a budget. You could spend a few hundred more though and just get the Skunk2 stg 1's or Buddy Club III cams. Since I wasn't on a tight budget, I went with the S2S1's. But had I known about the BC3's I would have gotten those instead.
go with 2000 itr usdm....u wont have to buy dual springs on the intake side u might on the exh if u take it pass stock red line, and then u can always go with ctr cams but u will have to buy inner and outter springs <type r >if u have a b16 u might want to change the retainers if u plan on going up to 9k cause b16 ret.are prone to breaking if u take it to many times to 9k.and another thing that is overlooked in changing cams are the lost mos assy,if does are not replace they might wear out and cause vavle float.but anyways i would go with 2000 type r the performace gain and price is great, and they doint wear down your vavle train as fast as aftermarket they use a harder material that is prone to wear down the rockers....

Some people get away with it and some dont. research and you will see all the horror stories and those people stayed at stock redline.
i got da 00' jdm itr's on my b18c1...BUT i have only taken her up to 8600k rpms a few times (dyno & sco night @ FIR). constant valve ajustments and no street beating have contributed to the longevity of my stock geezer valvetrain. ill sell you mine if your interested since i will be replacing them with s2s2's for my itb system.
