Default Is there anything I can do??

Some of you might remember me posting about my R being involved in a hit and run. Anyway, it's been in the shop for a week now and it's done. The problem is, I specifically asked to hold onto my parts (front and back bumper.) The damage is really little but they got the OK from my insurance to replace it with brand new one completely. Anyway, the person that was helping me out said that he'll write down "save for owner" on the parts that was going to be replace. He then told me that once they remove the parts from my car, they'll call me to come pick it up. Today I got a call from them saying my car is done. I then said, "I never got the phone call from you to come pick up my parts." He then said, "the tech who work on your car must of put it somewhere, I dont see it anywhere" "I'll ask him when he comes in."

Anyway, I have a feeling that they're trying to keep the parts cause it's really easy to fix. My back bumper isnt even dented, just scratched up. If they give me some BS about how they "forgot" and threw it away, can I do anyting about it? Can I get a police report? talk to the manager or anything? Just wondering if I have any say on the matter. Any help would be appreciated, thx.

Y00 have it on paper?

then it's a legal matter, if the manager does nothing ask for the owner and if still nothing then tell him you will be contacting your lawyer.

that should make him jump... or just ask for the money equivalent.

I think you may be jumping to conclusions, unless the shop caters to sport compacts. More likely the tech never got the message, and the parts were thrown away.

Or he repaired your old parts; but charged your insurance for new parts.
