prelude SH traction control????
I heard that the prelude sh motor is the least liked for doing a swap. It has something to do with the tractoin control device on the motor. Does anyone know about this and does anyone know exactly why people have the problems they do with it. I hear its not possible to swap an sh motor because of the tractoin control.
That's not true, it ought to go right it. The intermediate shaft takes the place of the traction control unit on the Accord. The main problem would envolve all of the sensors an the wiring harness for the ATTS. (Active Torque Transfer System) The ATTS also has power steering lines runing to it for the valving, directly from the pump I beleive. My friend has a '97 Prelude with the ATTS, what a pain-in-the-***. Not to metion that the older ECU's have a flaw that causes the ATTS to intermitently kick in and it always freaks my buddy out.....A new computer is $500.
The ATTS is supposed to make the lude faster on the track but many say it just adds weight and the Non ATTS equipped ludes can acutally be just as fast or faster. So if you can go just as fast or faster and save the weight then why not?
