How to find a CRX?
Hi Honda-Tech Members. I was wondering how to find a STOCK, well kept CRX near $2000 for my twin brother. I’ve been searching for a while (about half an year) but can’t find a good deal. I always check Auto Trader, Craigslist, Cars.com, and Honda-Tech but if you know some other good website it really helps.
A clean stock CRX Si is going to be hard to find at a decent price. Most of the deals are going to go quick since a lot of people are looking for Rex's. In So Cal you can find stock Si's for around 1200-1900 depending on condition and mileage.
you pretty much listed all the websites to find cars. Just keep checking, a really clean CRX in SoCal is about as easy to find as a million dollars (Im running out of stuff). Another good way is to go to local shops and such, just ask around...
wow !
CRX in united states are realy less expensive than canadian one ... Here sports car are always over evaluated .
a realy clean crx 1990-91 is 5000 $ and if you change it in Us $ = 3900 $US
And your cars are always in better shape than canadian's one ( Winther )
If you find one in great shape, TAKE CARE, it a rare car here and if you do not it will break my heart
Good luck and take your time

I found my hatchback by looking through the recycler.com web site. I live in L.A. and ended up driving to Santa Barbara to bag it.
I can't talk about other areas of the US, but here in California clean Hondas sell REAL fast if being sold for a reasonable price.
Plan on checking the recycler site at least once every day!!! The web site posts ads before they get printed in the recycler paper. That gives you a little jump on it.
Have your cash ready and plan on looking at a bunch of cars that are trash (in spite of the owner saying that it's real clean).
Take your time and know what you are looking for. Know what it would cost to replace items that are damaged or not of the quality you want. As an example, stock seats in good condition are hard to find and VERY pricey to repair if you want it to look "original".
Don't whine about it taking months to find a good car! It took several years for me to find my last project car (a 64 Chevelle 2 door wagon).
