Two questions I've been meaning to ask with all these picture threads lately...

-How can you tell the GT300 cars from the GT500 cars? I can't see any markings.
-How long was the race? Some of the pictures I've seen posted here lately were taken at night and others during the day.

Good question. Most all the 500's were Fairlady's, NSX, and Supra's. The rest I think were 300.
One of the NSX's was a GT300 car.
The race started around 4:30~7:00 or so. Dusk came around 5:00.

 

The GT500 cars have the white background on the number plate and the GT300 cars have a yellow background.

 

i think even the lights were different with amber vs white.

i think the fact the race started at dusk and past nightfall made the event even more special.
