Default Terrible newbie question, but needs to be asked

My girlfriend has a 6th gen accord, got some ground controls, and wants me to put them on. She doesn't want it slammed, so i was trying to avoid camber kits to save her (me) some money. I read somewhere that the 6th gen doesn't have any stock camber adjustments, so even a small drop will kill the tires. Can someone answer this real quick so we can kill this thread?

No, you'll be OK up to 1.5" maybe even more w/o a camber kit. 2+ inches is guaranteed to need a camber kit...

Mine's 1.25" w/o a camber kit and I have no problem!

Just get an alignment after the drop and you should be fine.

Because if you have toe in the tires are always pushing against each other and it will wear the tires out prematurely. Think of the tires like this / \ if your tires are like that rather than this | | then they will fight and wear out. Is that understandable?

I agree toe kills tires but so does camber. typically a drop would result to negative camber making you wear out the inner tires faster

please shed some light on this

Camber will wear the inner part of the tire yes, if you are only driving on straight roads all the time but since you are turning it will lean the tire and the car just enough so that the camber is not as bad. The toe hurts far worse because it actually makes the tires work against each other.

A safe bet would be to just call a tire shop you trust and ask them to be on the safe side. But after you drop it you will need an alignment anyways and they will tell you them.
