where have all the 3" exhaust systems gone?

I can't find a single one for the CRX. Do I have to go custom?
I'm not an exhaust guy - how much would a custom exhaust cost? I dont care about nice deep resonators, as long as the whole thing doesnt sound too loud.

kteller.com

EVEN THOUGH he sold me a full 2.5" custom mandrel exhaust that i love...he also sold me a 2.5" magnaflow high flow cat that blew out in less than 2 months. Although his site says "honesty, integrity, blah" he hosed me on that one. Lied and said i had to go through magnaflow...and won't help me at all!

Later talked to Dave at SMSP and he commented they sell the custom mandrel stuff (any size) cheaper and his service is amazing...let alone his obsession with perfection.

I think the 3" is not going to solve your sound problem. I think its louder than your stock 1.5". And the 3" could decrease your torque and horsepower. Go for right size, what's aprx. 2"-2.25". And you can adjust the volume with mufflers.

You can build your own exhaust, witch is cheapest solution. About $150 if you want hyper-silent with many mufflers. Next option is to buy a ready set. Witch is always more expensive.

i was ganna say kteller.com but i havent had any experience with them...
btw ajentjam, if you blew up your cat its not their fault. as far as i know, they make the piping, not the cats so they should have to cover the cat when you blow it up. on the other hand, if you blew up your exhaust pipe, he should cover that.

i had no problem with kteller.... its going to happen with anyone you do business with... somewhere down the line something is going to break or go wrong and thats just the way it is... it sucks that you got shafted on the muffler but i dont think it means that kteller is dishonest

Anything but a "glass-pack" or a "cherry bomb."

I have a 3inch Thermal on my car. Hardly any difference in spool and performance from open header and it sounds great.

Finish and quality is unmatched

Yeah guys like i said the mandrel bend exhaust was great...but as for the cat, it was only 1.5 months old. A great service department would stand by that and replace it or at least handle the warranty. Kteller shrugged me off and gave me the run around pointing me in the wrong direction.

If i were you i'd call Dave at SMS Products...i know he stands by his stuff as if it were his own. If something blows long before it should regardless he'll help you out with it...

ah, ok 3" would probably be great for a turbo application. Unfortunately, im not sure where you can find one, but you can probably have one made for a decent price.

I just threw a 2 1/2inchx16inch magnaflo glasspack right after my shift linkage, definitly took away the "raspyness" when decelerating, and deepened the tone, but make sure u have a muffler after the glasspack too or itll be real loud!
