Default Sooo I umm...Purchased a new 91 Civic SI today...WOOT.

Just thought I would share some pics, and Ideas.

The motor has about 9,000 miles on it since a full rebuild. I'm going to do a compression and leak down test, just to make sure of its condition.

Over the summer I will be installing my fully PNP Y8 Head with a Zex cam, and F4I ITB setup. Should be pretty fun.

I really wanna get some rota GT3s for the car, but I'm not sure if I should go black or red?

Any reccomendations would be appreciated!

Nice find for 2900? Here in Co, most of these in nice shape go for over 3500.
oh and BTW, the head unit was stolen from the car a day before I bought it. Sucks ***.

Theres a couple things that are odd I noticed about the car though... It has rear drum brakes. I thought all 91 SIs would have discs?

Yeah, I have Black slips on my CRX, and I love it.

But this car is going to stay my daily driver, so I kind want it to be pimpish/retro...thing kinda goin on.

I dunno...haha.

Nice lookin Si! Personally, since it looks like its in such good condition, I would keep it looking OEM with some Civic HX wheels. Keep the rice on the shelf. No rotas on that one...

head down to your local salvage yard and pickup a pair of complete rear trailing arms from a rear disk brake crx si...bolts right on.

im just not sure about the ebrake cable, as i did not use it when i slapped said parts onto the race car.

nice find.

I don't know,I think a set of Rotas from group n/with the red lip would look good on his car.

good find looks pretty clean...a nice little 2 inch drop and some rims would definetly be a good start in the looks department ...if your keeping your budget in the rota price range..black gt3's or the group n's would look pretty nice on there(black with red lip go perfect and keep it "old skool" looking)although, and already mentioned earlier, some HX rims would be choice-bueller

I dont know if they're the same, but I love my CX wheels. They are truly the bomb. I have had a few people ask if I'm selling them, but they're not for sale lol.

(not really on topic but I also had someone ask to trade me for my seats for use in a 2000 ex... Still don't know why, but I may hit him up sometime. Aren't I just the popular one...) Good find!

The car has 158,000 on it. Here in Colorado, 2900 is a steal for this car. Beleive me, these cars are rarely found in nice shape up here.

I'm gonna have to think about those RNRs. I lOVE the look of those in black with a red lip, but There are still SOO many wheels that I would love to put on this thing. Mugen has a nice ring too it as well...

The mod list that I have planned for the car includes:
- Y8 head swap with ITBs and the cam
- GSR cluster
- Aftermarket seats, not sure which ones, but they must be reclineable.
- Omnipower coilovers
- ST sway bars
- 15" wheels (undecided obviously)
- Tinted windows
- Custom 2 1/4" exhaust

I'm sure thats just the begining
