jimfab x-member crx
hi
no searches answered my question.
my car vibrates a whole lot with the b18c, and I'm guessing thats because the whole frame just needs a bit of stiffening. can anyone with jimfab x-member tell me if it'll help, and by how much? the site claims that it will.
also, how does the radiator mount on the crossmember? does it just sit?

As far as i know, the only thing that will truely help your vibration issues, is rubber not polyurethane mounts, and to run rubber, you must have a front mount to stabalize the whole thing, otherwise it will tear the rubber to shreds in a month.
Also inspect the engine/trans/exhuast to see if maybe the whole thing is touching frame somewhere, that will cause excessive noise like i'm getting in mine.
as for the radiator support, its not part of the X-member. it is unaffected
hah this is all san jose people so far. (metoo)

by the way well said yeah if you got poly bushings and dont like rattling then get rid of them. OEM or mugen would be the way to go

ok, thanks
- i'll bring along my gsr crx to the next meet so i can MEET you guys haha
as for the x-member, yeah, you're right, I hadn't examined the crx's design until just before i read your post. my engien is not touching frame, i checked that before. I think its probably just because of poly mounts. its not that bad of rattle
