Default Anyone Running Skun2 Spec III with JDM ITR Pistions?

I am looking at that set up. My head has been done by King and we are looking at running the Skunk2 stage III. I am just wondering if I will have any valve clearence issues. The head has been milled a few thous.

Any help would be great.....

from my understanding the skunk2 stage 3 cams are for compression for 12.5:1 or 13.5:1 and would not see it's true performance until the demand of compression is met.

You should have clearance. We've run this setup before and never had a issue. You should clay and measure the clearance first just to make sure your going to be safe. I think you'll be better off with the stage 1 or 2 cams instead. We did alot of dyno and track testing with a similar setup and found no gains in the stage 3 verus the stage 1 and 2. Actual the stage 1 cams did the best on the dyno and on the track. the stage 2 cams did about the same as the 1's but for the money just go with the 1's

Cool thanks guys..... The compression on the motor right now is 12.5:1 with my headjob...... I am considering sleaving the block and going up to a 2.0L and bumping the compression to 13.1:1 - 13.5:1. So I should be able to get the performance that they offer.

with the jdm itr pistons on a gsr block and head we normally saw 11.2-11.3-1 c/r. we have also run the pct pistons with stage 1,2 & 3 pistons with no clearance issues (12.0-12.3 c/r). But you still need to clay everything just incase. He may have his head milled or block decked, you never know.
