ok can someone help me out here, got a 160amp alt,
cran digatal ignition and coil, projector lights, little audio, remote battery location, clifford alarm and k40,
y am i having low voltage issues, my lights dim at idle , until revving , and now my am starts to sputter and cut out when idling now too, , ive chexed, the alt, and its at 12v, when off and jsut at 11v when running, , (isnt it suppsed to be at 14v) and do hondas have voltage regualtors?
any help thanx guys

I believe there is a internal voltage regulator on the alternator. Sounds like there is something wrong with the alternator... did you just buy this or has this been sitting around for a while? Did you have this problem with your last alternator?

 

ya it was there b4 which is y i got the 160, but it was still there, , now it seems to be gettin worse, it wasnt cutting out at first, now it is a yr later, they make a 190..... but im not gona spned the $ again is its not whats wrong first, lol
