I've got bigger plans in terms of mods in about a year but to hold the mod bug in check, I've been thinking about getting some Toda A's for now (along w/cam gears, FPR, and a valve cover for tuning.) I'll have use for everything except the Toda A's when it's time to move on to these bigger plans but with their resale value, I'm not too worried. My main concern is the investment in the tuning of these cams since money spent on the dyno can't be recouped. For those with experience, how long, in hours, would a capable tuner like Jack@P1 take to dyno my setup. I currently have Kenji P28 and a VAFC. TIA.

 

a couple, or maybe a few. i think someone like yack can have that **** dialed in pretty quickly.

Do those plans included the Toda A's?
If not the loss in money, i don't think would be worth it.

 

iirc, kenji had hours and hours of tuning on his ecu program specifically for the spec a's. I'd think 2 hours or less to get them dialed in good.

No he said they dont, but hes not worried as far as their re-sale value. .

 

it took me one saturday afternoon with my hondata s200 to get my toda A's tuned properly. shouldnt be too bad at all.
