Had anyone with a 6 speed tranny in there ep3 ran there car on the track yet. I want to know if the 6 speed tranny help get better times, if so around what should i be expecting. thanks.

 

yeah there probably is but usually its by swappin a k20a or k20a2

 

in theory it should be because the gears are shorter... however if you plan on fi then you should keep the long gears, you will do nothing but spin tires

i have a friend with rsx turbo who spins 1st, 2nd, 3rd with the 6spd and a friend with the same setup on an si with the 5spd and only spins 1st, and part of second

 

I plan to boost in the near future. I still have my five speed and im looking for a lsd for it. But will i get any gains over stock in quarter mile time??

Marginal, at best. First is taller, so it won't come out of the hole quite as fast if you have traction.

 

Longer gears are better suited for boost/nitrous. If you're gonna go turbo later on then just keep your 5speed tranny

 

Put a slick up there and that will solve it. Seen a RSX run one 11.94 with slick. Cybernations...
