is 120 a good price? found one, just want to make sure its worth it

 

If that is the jdm digital climate control for the lude then hell yea its worth it as long as it works

be aware that there are a bunch of other parts you need besides the in dash section. Also, I hear they require black magic to get them installed and working properly. Search for threads on them and see what others have said on this topic

 

this comes with all the sensors, heating unit, and etc...going to see if honda can do it and not rip me off that much

 

yaeh like bryan said.. most of the time, you dont get everything thats needed. there are tons of parts.

 

let me know how it works out i would absolutely love to have it too. but ive heard more bad stories than good. ive heard its very hard to match the wires up but if you figure it out then write it down cause i would like to have it when i get that

Does this climate control only pertain to the 93 Preludes? Sorry I'm a bit loss here, I've only got my 01 Prelude like a month ago so I'm not sure what they have for the car over in the JDM.

 

no there's a 5th gen version too, but i have yet to see anyone claim to have made the conversion. i believe someone even said that the ecu is involved too...

 

IN Japan they have an electronic climate control system. I believe that you just punch the buttons til it says what temp you want and it does the rest... kinda like some of the higher end domestics do. From what I hear it is a bitch to swap and is no way a plug and play adventure. You can often find the dash part on ebay but they don't tell you that you need a bunch of other parts as well. do a search on ebay if you want to see what they look like.

I've heard of one guy that got it to work, but it was way more than $120 after install and all of the extra parts were ordered. I wanted one too, but after seeing all of the labor needed to make it work I figured forget it.

 

i'm sure the labor is going to suck, but the 120 is for the climate control unit, sensors, wires, all the goodies
