Anyone good with eletronics? My car battery keeps draining out.
Everytime I leave my car sitting for more than a day, the battery drains out. Unless I drive it every 6 hours or so, I have to jump the car to get it started. At first I though it was the battery, so I bought a new one(it needed to be replaced anyway), and it fixed nothing. My R also has a faily new alternator. Anyone have any ideas. I have checked the battery to see if there is some current draw while it is off, but it is very hard to tell unless I sit there for a long time. The car does not have an audio system. It has an alarm, but I was told that it would be hard for the alarm to draw that much power. Any ideas? Has anyone had a similar experience? TIA.

same thing happened to me it ended up being the alternator. on a brand new 98 honda. after two years of ownership. i couldnt figure it out either. i would drive and it was fine. let it sit and it wouldnt start. it was an internal problem with the alternator.. it was charged the battery fine when it was moving but it drained it when it wasnt turning...
take the alternator out and have it tested...

i had this problem and it went away after a new battery.
i know you bought a new battery, but definitely check alternator too.
