ATTS?
I'm new to the f22 and h22's. I'm looking at buying a 2001 honda accord EX 5spd swap (f23 vtec). Does this have ATTS? What does have ATTS?
What is ATTS? I have heard thatit justs creates headaches when swapping into civics or something like that.

ATTS = Active Torque Transfer System. or something like that.
came only in Prelude Type SH (97+). well, at least for the U.S.... not sure about other countries. personally, i'd rather not have it.

Right on the money.

he's exactly right. there were a few JDM Preludes with ATTS (BB6 bullcrap. most people who get JDM motorswaps won't have to worry about getting this headache).
ATTS is a system that acts alot like traction control on more expensive cars. it's a long, square box located beside the transmission that replaces the mid-shaft. it's full of clutches and sensors that detect wheelslip, and sends power (torque) to the other wheel. If you like autocross, and keep close-to-stock HP numbers, it's pretty helpful. The downfall is when you have much more than stock HP, the system screws itself up, and acts like your main clutch is slipping. a buddy of mine has a 99 Prelude SH that he turboed, and he replaced the Centerforce stage3 3 times, thinking the clutch was glazed and slipping. He had no idea that the turboed H22 was punishing the ATTS box, and burned up all the clutches in it. He fixed the problem with a JDM TypeS ECU, and an H23 tranny.
