Default H22??

Kind of new to this whole honda thing, and just recently baught a 88 Civic DX Hatch. Everything is of course stock on it and wanted to know if it was possible to fit an H22 engine in it? And if so what would exactly I would need to do the swap other than motor mounts. I am very serious on the swap and plan to do the swap within the next month, but dont want to buy something I cant put in. Is the H22 the best way to go? The B18 seams to be the more expensive engine or am I wrong. Need some help here. Please if anyone knows, please fill me in. Some kind of websight I can go to, to get exactly what I need to do the swap.

its going to cost you more to get it in there over a bseries,

im not sure if they came out with mounts for this yet, but i dought it, and you will have to get custom ones
you have to convert tranny to cable, or use an adapter plate to use a cable bseries tranny, you have to convert to odb1 plus more,

there is alot involved in this swap and it has been done before

So what would be involved in doing the B18 Swap? They should have mounts for this right.

yes, they are numerous companies that sell mount kits, and the price varies between brand, search about the different ones, you will learn which is better for you as for engine placement

you will need to modify your shift linkage or get a hasport one
wire your car up for MPFI if it isnt, ect

alot of the info can be found on honda-tech if you search, b-series swaps arent that hard in the EF chassis

It's not that hard to put the H22 in,do you have the ability to fab your own mounts,if not your better of with doing a B-series,you can get of the shelf parts for the B-series ,the H22 is just about all custom.

Like:
traction bars
wiring harness
mounts
shift linkage
hoses

I can give you the info if you want to do the H22 I've done two so far in crx's and getting ready to do another.

I mean it nice when it's done but if you don't have fab equipment it impossible pretty much to do it right.

I can tell you if you want but thats alot of typing to explain it.
