Default 1g Crx si / d16a1 question

I have a d16a1 that runs great and a 87 crx si. Now the d16a1's tranny is shot, and I'm wondering if when I swap the engine into the crx can I use the si tranny?

I believe you can use the stock trans for your CRX.

you cannot use your stock tran, although the rex si is a d-series it is based on an EW block the teg DOHC engine is a true d-series you have to get the teg trans

this swap is a little time consuming, you have to use teg susp (torsion bars, knuckles, etc), and make sure you have the right teg engine or you will have to buy a new dizzy

He told you all you need to know. If you can't use the Si tranny, then you have to use the Teg tranny. Other than that, the motor will bolt right in if it is a black top A1.
