fixing leak tips please
i have 90 crx with b18a1 , it had an idling problem so i removed the fitv and tighten down the whitish screw , put it back on idles fine . Well most of you probably know there are two coolant lines goin to the fitv , one angles towards the front of the car the second straight down .
The one that goes towards the front of the car the other end goes into the head below the intake , just about right under the first runner on that side , thats where i have a coolant leak now from what i can tell there are other hoses below it and the tops are wet and the bottom of the one coming from the fitv .
Im having a hard time getting to it , i can reach it but with only a finger or two not having much luck gettin the clamp off with pliers . my question is , is there an easier way to do this , i know i could take the intake off but i really dont want to if there is another way
thanks for the help in advance .
I checked the color of the coolant and the oil both good pretty sure not head gasket .

this may not be your leak problem but after you removed the FITV and put it back on, did you bleed the system of the air you introduced?
Shouldn't cause leak but that much air in the system can be bad for it. Find the bleed bolt, remove it, and let it sit for a bit and get all those bubbles out.
As for the leak there's a gasket that should be replaced when working on the valve. Check to see if it's broken or gone completey. You may have accidently lost it during the process.

thanks for the info i did try to get the air out but not that way , i didnt see the bleed bolt right away so i had the cap off the radiator and the squeezing the top hose trying to work the air out then as the coolant dropped i added more until the top rad. hose was equally warm , then i saw the bleed bolt lol just loosen it and coolant was coming out couple bubbles but ill redo it after i fix the leak how u said ill also check for the gasket u were talking about and replace it . the gasket u are talking about do you mean the ones that are around the two holes that line up to the head ?? thanks
