on an n/a motor most exhausts will produce around the same horsepower give or take 1 or 2 hp.

When choosing an exhaust for you car, look at it at many perspectives. How far do you want to go with your car for n/a? If you're doing extensive n/a mods then you'll want the most free flowing exhaust. Straight through design comes to my mind.

Personally i love the look of the n1. I have one but i haven't installed it. but from i hear it sounds great.

You might want something a little less agressive and more stock sounding. Apex world sport comes to my mind. But keep in mind that its not much better over stock. Same design concept.

Again, most exhausts produce the same power. So if you don't plan on doing anything more than i/h/e then just pick an exhaust that you think looks good and sounds good as well. I don't know how your greddy exhaust fell apart after 2 years. Their build quality and reputation is excellent.

i have a greddy exhaust also... after about 2 years.. the resonator rusted out and produced a rattling noise.. is that what your referring to? anyway because there were VERY MINOR scrapes.. they would not honor the warranty... i took it to a muffler shop. and had the greddy resonator chopped off and replaced that section and its been working fine.. is that the problem with yours?

You don't need a Kakimoto R exhaust. Just get an APEXi N1 or a Racing Medallion. But if you want to go JDM, get a Sheepdog exhaust or the TryForce Bazooka.

I love my Tanabe RM now. Although I wouldn't mind seeing an N1 in action just to compare.

RS*R man.

Some guy had dyno sheets of his RS*R. He dyno the car with the exhaust off(CAT BACK portion was not on), then he dynoed it with the full cat back on. He only lost 8/10's of a HP.

Custom 2.5" with a high flow muffler (498 cfms) seems to work best for me.
If you need one, let me know, I have mine for sell...

pregnant? first of all i'm a guy...second, I'm 17, i don't know of any 17 year olds that have heart problems. But thanks for the heads up. It came with a silencer so that should be fine. I was considering the 5zigen fireball but heard about some build quality issues.

Ok I was playing about the pregnant thing, just making sure you know how loud it is in side the cabin. And if you install the silencer, then you wont feel a difference than your stock exhaust. I head N1 has a resonator in the b-pipe but I'm not sure. If it does, than it shoudn't be too loud.

Only loud at WOT? haha it will give you a headache when its IDLING!(not really) and since you live in Cali expect a little chat with cops. But N1 is a bad *** exhaust. Probably my second favorite and you know what my first favorite exhaust is.

Both Fireball and N1 are good. My gf has the Fireball, I have the N1. N1 is definately a much louder exhaust. The Fireball is not that loud, but has some issues with the piping rusting.

My buddy has an N1 and when he just had the exhuast it wasnt that loud. After he got a jdm4-1 and testpipe, it got loud as hell. It is loud now, when he hits vtec it gets scary cuz its so loud. I like it, even tho its loud.

ALL cars will loose power somewhere with the exhaust removed.
I hate RS*R... I bought one and it turned to rust in 3 months.
DC Stainless was proven to have the most increase across the entire torque/power band.

whatever you do, keep the exhaust diameter 2.5" or less... a more optimal size would be 2.25".

I have ridden in an itr and gsr both had the n1. The n1 is not as loud as everyone says it is! its loud compared to stock but its not like you are gonna go deaf. ive heard much, much louder exhausts. i used to have a hks style exhaust with no resonator in the b pipe...now that was loud! the fireball sounded like crap on another friends gsr (jdm 4-1 and cat). the fireball was poppy sounding.
