Anyone With An Exedy Organic Racing Clutch, How's it Compare to Stock ITR Clutch ?
Just wondering if anyone that has the Exedy Racing Clutch with organic disc (part #08-800) could comment on how it feels and performs in comparison to stock ITR clutch setup. Any info that could be shared would be interesting.
thanks

I also would love to know!!, The exedy clutch and toda flywheel are $740 at http://www.RandDmotorsports.com I would love to buy this
I was wondering what is needed to do a clutch install? I have the pressure plate, clutch and a new flywheel. Are there any other things like bearings or the such?
2k, you would probably just need the pilot bearing, only a few bucks at acura.
Supposedly the Exedy is very similar or they make the clutch i have, which is the Spoon full face.
I love my clutch and it holds alot better than the stock ITR's i have driven, the 00-01 seem be kind of weak( maybe i am just used to my spoon clutch
)
But with the Spoon flywheel and clutch my car revs FAST and clutch grips good as hell.
After 7k it still grabs and i have been kinda rough on it.
Oh yea www.RandDMotorsports.com kicks *** and Dave will take care of you.
Its where i got my setup from.
Hope that helps

I got the toda clutch it really grabbed hard when it was new, now w/ 3k miles on it seems like it doesn't grab as hard as it did before.

I just installed an exedy clutch on my R and I like it for the most part. I have one problem with it that is really annoying though. When you press the clutch pedal completely down at a stoplight,etc you can hear a noise from the clutch. If you slightly release the pedal, like maybe 1/4" the noise stops. What seems to be happening is that the pressure plate springs are being pushed too far in by the release bearing and contacting the clutch. There was a note from exedy that came with the clutch mentioning this problem. They say to shorten the pushrod between the pedal and the master cylinder by adjusting it, thereby causing the release bearing travel to be decreased. I did this and it helped some but there is still noise at times

same exact thing is happening with my exedy...
I get that exact same problem with my Exedy in my B16a. I thought I might have messed up the install. At least I know that I'm not the only one who has this problem. Have they fixed this problem yet?
Are all Exedy clutch users having this "noise" problem? Is the clutch performance compromised at all? I was considering the Exedy for my Si, but now I'm not so sure. Any help/info. would be appreciated.
