? the kelvin rating is for color ??

that being said 12,000 k will probably be darker than OEM halogen

HID's draw less amperage than halogen. Therefore I don't think you will have a problem with any housing melting.

kelvin rating and light output have an indirect relationship. The higher the kelvin rating, the lower the emitted light will be. Stick with your halogen bulbs if that's your intention.

Though I have not seen it in person, 12k is supposed to be a lot darker than 4500 or 6000. I'm personally going with 6000k, which is supposed to have a bluish look. 4500k (white) is supposed to illuminate the best.

Not with HID's rated at 12000K. You will get less light output than your halogen bulbs. Color may be all there, but you won't be able to see s**t.

4300-4500 will have the brightest light

I have personall seen 6,000k and 8,000 k
6,000 was a good looking blue'ish color, but less light output
8,000 was pure ****** purple, and had very poor light ouput

I can't even imagine 12,000k
my reccomendation, get OEM bulbs 4,300-4,500

no it won't melt
as long as you have room between hid bulb and the plastic lenses, you should be fine

Any of you guys get these HID kits?

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1050083

Looks like it's a good product, but just wanted to know if any of you have tried it. I'll probably go with the 5600k

BMW retrofit owns all

the little bit of glare I have is because my car is white, and the light is reflecting off my bumper

guys, remember V = IR from physics? it actually, works.

V = voltage (e.g. 35 watts,)

I = current (amps)

R = resistance (ohms)

since in the system the resistance remains the same, voltage and current have a directly relational proportion. voltage goes down, so does the current used.

Voltage is measured in volts. Power in watts. P=IV.

there is no noticeable heat difference between ratings on HIDs for cars, the 4300 or 6000 up to your insanely blue rating of 12000 is for color rating.

...How could you, that's so uncool

BAN! GTFO!

you actually made me wonder about how i wired up a few led's...

luckily i used the V=IR formula (12 v)

Dont even waste your time 12000k HID's.

I would rather drive with my lights off before using a set of 12000k.

Stop being a ricer and get some 4300 or 6K if you want a little tint to them...the higher # does NOT mean more light
