I have looked for this topic cant seem to find much...
My question is i am doing an auto to manual swap along with my b16 swap in an ef hatch.... my vss in the dx d15b has just the cable, while the b16 has the opening for the cable and 2 hoses comming off....

what are these hoses for, is it going to matter if i install the dx vss without the hoses?

 

they are for speed sensitive power steering.

 

so becuase i dont have power stearing i can just use the stock one without the hoses and ill be fine?

 

Yeah otherwise just run the hoses together. It'll work I've done it !!!! but otherwise I have heard you can put a d-series VSS in there.

 

or you can not even mess with it and it wont make a difference.
i havent ever bothered to remove teh vss with hoses on non power steering cars.
