Here are my power mods.
AEM Cold Air Intake
Jackson Racing Supercharger
4.0 inch pulley
RC 440cc injectors
DC Sports Shorty Header
Random Technology High-Flow Cat
Borla Cat Back
K-Pro
I went to a dyno day last week where I got a baseline on a dyno jet. These #'s are untuned. 194.97 whp and 167.2 Tq. The torque # should actually be a little lower because there is a funny peak at about 6600 RPM's or so, but it is probably an honest 162/163.
I went today and had it tuned. the place that tuned it uses a dyno pack they gave me a baseline on their machine, and the final results.
The baseline #'s on their machine were 194.1whp and 144.8 wtq and the final #'s were 217.6 whp and 174.9 wtq. I think it is interesting that the baseline whp # was within 1hp of the run I had on the dynojet last weekend, but the wtq figure is nearly 20 ft/lbs different. I have no clue why it should be so different, and if anybody else has a clue feel free to chime in.
I got to the shop at 11am, and they had my car untill 5pm and charged me for 5 hours of tuning, which was way more than I thought it would take. Also, they wouldn't let me back in the shop or dyno area so I had to sit on my *** in their showroom for the whole damn time which really sucked. Oh well, thats the way the ball bounces some times. One downside to this, was that when they were done I was so ready to leave I forgot to ask what A/F they tuned it to, and to ask for a datalog of the final run. I'm going to try to get those and will post up the results when I do.
it will probably take me a day or two to get the chart scanned, but as soon as I do I will get it posted up.

did they fully tune it for part throttle driving too? how much did they charge u per hour of tuning time? how much did it cost total?

That is crazy, especially when they wouldnt let you in the shop. I have seen cars get tuned and they never took 5 hours. When I had the engine swap done in my old DA the shop I used let me in the back everyday, the owners didnt mind, but I think I drove the tech a little crazy on some days.

Would you mind too awfully if we asked how much it cost for the tuning, supercharger, K Pro and installation all together?
It sounds to me that this was a decent buy to get a K20A3 (basically stock) over 200 HP !

I didn't do it all at once, but as best I can recall It worked out as follows:
JRSC $2500
K-pro $950
4.0" pulley $100 (used)
RC 440cc Injectors $260 + clips $50
Tuning $750
Total $4610
Keep in mind this is approximate. If you shop carefully you can probably get better prices on some of this stuff. Particularly if you are willing to go with a used supercharger. I am also a little disappointed with how long it took them to tune the car. I know there is a lot to tune with the K-Pro, but I think 5 hours was excessive.

Sorry about that, its fixed now. Apparently I have forgotten how to add in my old age.

That does not sound expensive at all.
Other than what you have listed, this is a stock K20A3?
Where's your redline?

Correct, other than what is listed above the engine is stock. I had the redline set at 7700 for the dyno, but lower it down to 7300 on the street. The HP curve on the dyno peaks below the redline though so it shouldn't make any difference to the dyno #'s.

The cost of the hardware and software seem pretty decent, but the amount of tuning seems pretty, unless that was for installation and tuning???
I thought the Jackson system was pretty much a plug and play unit?

You can of course go for a basic map, I did this when I had the JRSC fitted to my Type-R (EP3). However once I had the K-Pro tuned (at a cost of around £400 stirling, not sure of the exchange rate), It really transformed the car. There really is no substitute for getting a good operator and a dyno to set the K-Pro up for your car and speciffic mods.
With basicaly the same system I went from 236 bhp at the hubs, to 252.1 bhp at the hubs (measured on a dynapac). The only difference was replacing the injectors for 650 cc jobs and a slightly wider midpipe to my exhaust. On tuning the old system a mear 5 mm narrower was shown to be to restrictive. So I cannot recommend tuning highlu enough. Thanks to the guys at Abbey Motorsport in Oxted Surrey, UK
