Default Problem during swap!(B16) Help!

So, we got they Y7 pulled out, and we're almost ready to put the B16 in(I'm waiting for the mounts to get here). We find out that the ex-owner must have welded the hub in or something. We got the passenger side hub off with no problems, and the nut came off easy. But the driver's side seems to have been welded a lil' around the nut. So, we had to disassemble the suspension arms on that side and pull the whole thing out to get the axles out. Now what do I do?

Do I go ahead and buy aftermarket or OEM hubs and rotors. The rotor is stuck on there, so I guess I might as well go ahead and get some new rotors, maybe some Brembo blanks or something.

Do I just go to the junkyard and pull a hub or 2 with a rotor or 2?

Either one, which would be best to get? Si hubs and rotors, stick with the stockness and get DX hubs and rotors, or get some EX hubs and rotors? I am lost here. What are the pros and cons of each.

Get EX hubs and rotors, you'll thank yourself later when you want integra brakes.

Welded?!?!!!

I was just about to ask if I should just get Integra hubs and be finished with it? On the EX hubs do I get it for the 2 or 4 dr, does it matter? Will my stock brakes fit with Integra hubs?

--Yeah, welded. I don't know why. And the passenger side nut is a 32, but the one on the driver's side that is welded, must be a 33, cuz the 32 socket is a lil' too small and the 34 socket is a lil' too big. I don't know, man?

Are the brake pads interchangable between my brakes and the Integras?

I have a DX.

The EX knuckles match your knuckles, the integra ones are a little different and give a different suspension geometry.

I don't think your brakes will swap to the new knuckles, and you kinda don't want to, use the 10.2" EX discs and larger calipers. Likewise, the pads won't fit.

^More bad news, eh. So, now I need the EX knuckles/hubs, rotors and brakes? Well, I guess I have some new AEM brake pads still in box for sale.

If I want aftermarket rotors, should I buy rotors for an EX to go along with the EX hubs and integra brakes? Or would I need the rotors for a '90-'93 integra?

are you sure the axle nut isn't just on really tight?? i've had some that I used a 6' pole as leverage with a breaker bar to get free.. and i'd have to put all of my weight on it (170lbs)

if it is really welded, go with some 90-93 integra hubs and brakes - they work great and they're bolt on

We used an air tool/ratchet/wrench, the passenger side came off with ease. We couldn't take the driver's side off 'cuz the nut size was a 33mm, and we only had 30, 32, 34mm, etc. And from looking at it, it appears to be welded.

Basically, you're saying to use the EX discs, knuckles, rotors and calipers(the full assembly) as a stepping stone. Use the stock EX front assembyl setup, and later on I can just throw on Integra rotors and calipers over the EX knuckles, right?
Along with the EX master cylinder, brake booster, and proportioning valve. Any guess of how much all of this would cost. {I'm hoping it won't run me over $100}

Correct me, if I'm wrong.

Can a 40/40 proportioning valve from a '94+ Integra work with this setup?

the EX rotors, pads and calipers are the same as the integra ones...the knuckles differ. if you get the EX master cylinder you dont need the brake booster...if you get the integra MC then you need the booster too. i got my setup from the junkyard and it was under $100 for the knuckles, calipers and master cylinder.

Okay, so all I need to do is go to the junkyard, find a EX '90-'91 and get the MC, knuckles, and calipers and I won't need the integra brake booster.

There's a guy who is parting out his '97 Teg, should I get a MC, PV, or BB from him? Would it even fit?

Off topic: How do I quote?
