i am hooking up an external coil wich wire do i tap for the negative side of the msd external coil? 92 si

Not sure on your question here.. You just run both the + and - from the old coil out of the cap to the external coil.. You hook it up the same as the internal one except its on the outside..
Or do you mean you have an MSD box that your hooking up an external coil to??

sorry i screwed up i was trying to use an obd1 distributor in a obd0 car. thanks for the help
