Default What is the best way to tint the back window?

i heard the tint strip wont stick to the dot matrix on top of the back window, so what is the best and good looking way to tint the back, any suggestions? im going 35% all around. regular black tint.

with 35% id cut it right on the bottom of the dot matrix and leave it alone. 35% isnt dark enough to tell a big difference in the shade of it. tint wont stick to it very well. it gets air in it and falls off

I have it on the back window at 15% darkness. The entire window is tinted, including those little dots... It looks good, and has not fallen off. I've had the tint on since July without any problems.... You just need to take your time with the installation... Good Luck!

Ive seen people put a strip of black vinyl over the dot matrix. Doesent look too bad on a black car.

I've got a black vinyl strip on my back window and I've got 5% on mine. I dont care what anyone says. Unless you spend 3 days squeeging all of the air out you'll get little air bubbles between the dots.

yeah but if you get a 5% tint and you just leave the top untinted i think that would look a little awkward....its not really airbubbles in between its just kinda like space. i dunno. looks good to me.

Just bring it to a well known tint shop, don't use inferior tint and you'll be fine. My 96 has been tinted for almost it's entire life, the beginning of it's life it was spent sitting under the blazing Nevada sun...the tint is still in excellent shape.

my rear window is tinted "limo black" and its fine. the place did a good job of getting the air bubbles out and you really can't tell unless you examine it closely and even so you barely see anything wrong.
