that's kinda the reason why I don't even fool with all the anti-theft ****. If someone wants it bad enough they are gonna steal it... no matter what Besides, if they steal it, I'll be pissed but I have insurance and can always buy another...

After I read this I ran outside to make sure mine was still there. Poor guy, that sucks. The only way to stop roll back tow trucks is to park in a garage, or in a drive way with another car in front of it.

 

I think this makes the 6th R stolen in the past week, and those are just the ones we know about through Honda-Tech. Absolutely ridiculous.

 

you'll just do the thieves another favor cause if they took out of your garage or driveway then obviously know where you live and they will take your new one too

 

lojack or some tracking system... there is no other way

im sorry!! jackers can seriously suck a dick.. im so sick of hearing this. it happened to my good friend last weekend.. then i read about it every other day. ARGHHHHH

 

unless you discover theft right away, those tracking devices are useless also
they have blankets (made of lead?) that they throw over the car to trap the signal while they locate the transmitter

 

Driveway post and a pager/prox sensor could have prevented this!!

 

 

the tracking system we have up here called boomerang uses a key fob transmitter. basically if your car moves away without prior communication with the transmitter, it automatically sends out tracking alert and everyone starts chasing the car right away.

 

man that sux!!! crime doesn`t pay! i`m going through the same deal!

Sorry to hear about another ITR stolen. After Marc got his car stolen this past Sunday, I have been driving my Miata mostly this week. The only reason I got my car back when stolen is because of Lo-jack. But, I think thieves are wise to Lo-jack, now.
