Default How much would an entire distributor unit on a Del Sol cost?

I recently paid $500 (including labor) to have my entire distributor unit replaced. The part itself was quoted at about $380. I asked someone else how much they would have paid for one and he said it would have been under $200. Was I jipped, or does that price sound about right?

If it is the SOHC VTEC motor expect to pay ~$300 at most local parts stores. That price is a little high, but I don't think that it's rediculous.

I'm sure that we'd charge about that at my shop.

BTW: Labor rates have gone up in the state of CT for some reason. We're now at $89 per hr.

edit: I'm sure somebody is going to say something about the labor cost. It's up there, but what is the labor charge for setting the timing?

Well the thing was, the car broke down in the middle of the street. Just went dead. Fortunately right across the street was an auto shop, where I was told the price of the unit. But hey, it doesnt sound too bad, not to mention I got the car back in a couple of hours and has lifetime warranty (assuming they dont go out of business).

Does the timing involve any testing? All they did was let the car run on idle for about 15min. It seems kinda fishy, but I guess I should've made more certain about what they fixed exactly.
