I was wondering if anyone had any info on the manual tentioner of the H23A?
I have a H22A4 with autotentioner and that those things SUCK....My second one failed today and I need a new one. I was thinking maybe I should just change to the manual one.

Can someone please give me info. I gotta get this engine running. Thanks

 

never heard of one being swapped out for a manual. Doesn't mean it can't be done, just saying I've neer seen it.

 

I have heard of it being done when people build H23vtec motors. I don't know if it is a direct replacement or not. If you have a helm's, it shows pictures and procedures to adjust both types of tensioners.

thanks guys, I will do this mod as I'm very tired of dealing with the stupid autotentioner that fails all the time

I'll try to post some pic's on my site later when I get more time.
I know it can be done for sure though. Just wanted to get more info from ppl that have done it.
