D16A vs D16Z6(ZC)
I have a 93 del sol with a D16Z6. It was smoking so I bought a used JDM engine. The engine that was sent was a D16A. The company I bought it from said it was the same thing when I called to ask them about it. I want to know if they are the same, if not is the HP and torque different or what. Both are vtec but that dont mean much. I am still learning about imports so hope this isnt a dumb question.

Yeh but he said the engine cold is d16a which means its not a ZC and its just an 88-91 civic/crx si non vtec motor. His motor is sohc vtec. Tell them to send you the right engine.
