Default Rich in cylinder 4?

Well I finally got my burning oil issue under control (replaced PCV valve) and now I have another problem. It seems that I am running rich in cylinder four. The spark plug gets fouled within 10 miles of driving. Ive replaced it 3 times and the same thing happens each time. The other three spark plugs look perfect each time I take them out. Why would I run rich in 1 cylinder? My guess is a faulty injector. Im going to take it out today and replace it. Any other suggestions?

If no one has any input maybe you can help me with this. How can I tell if my spark plug is fouled from oil or fuel?

you can tell if its oil or fuel by looking at the plug and seeing whats on it, oil or fuel.....

I was going to suggest that you can be burning oil in one cylinder as opposed to running rich. If you have an oil control problem the spark plug has a black shiny look to it, almost wet in appearance. Running rich would give you a black dry/sooty look on the plug. I think if you have a bad injector it would tend to run lean instead of rich, IMO. One thing you can do instead of replacing the injector is to swap it to a differenct cylinder first , run it and see if the symptoms move to the other cylinder, since it happens relatively fast after driving. Cheaper than replacing an injector. The Honda injectors are pretty durable, rarely every see one fail.

a worn valve guide or valve seal will cause oil to burn in the combustion chamber, and won't show up on a compression test. So I would assume your rings are fine, probably a valve guide or seal problem. I had a valve guide go bad on me before resulting in oil burning in one cylinder, and the compression test was fine across the board.

well I pull my own head and re-install it myself. Having a machine shop put in new valve guide and/or valve seal isn't that expensive, if you can pull and reinstall your own head it is pretty affordable. I believe you can do a leak down test to see if any specific part is a problem, may point you in the right direction.
