Heres the situation: I got a 97 Civic Ex Coupe, and sometimes when i hit a hard bump, i can hear the driver side front spring make like a boing/thunk noise. What do you think this sound is? Sounds more like a boink...... but i think its coming from the spring.
Oh, this is stock strut/spring btw.

 

Probably not coming from your springs/struts.

Most likely its your CV joints.

 

why would it make that noise? i just replaced that axle too

 

does it come when you're turning the wheel? only happens with one side? does it matter how fast you're going?

if you think its your spring, take your wheel off and check to see that the spring is lined up properly.

 

Only one side, the drivers side.
Happens when going straight.
Doesn't matter how fast.

Ball joints? Or when you did your axles you forgot to tighten all bolts? Check your tie rod also.

 

could also be a bad wheel bearing
