Default Please help.. loud rubbing noise

I drive a 2.2 cl. When driving the front end of the car makes a loud rubbing noise. The sound is like a deep low hum. It is especially loud and constant around 10-30 mph. When driving at higher speeds, the sound becomes systematically periodic. Like it is coordinated with my tires (but not rotating as fast).

I also noticed (could be b/c im being too paranoid) that it takes more acceleration to get the car moving. Almost like my brakes are constantly clenched.

If you have any advice on what it may be, its much appreciated and i hope it all made sense.

Pretty hard to say. Have you done any suspension work?

What have you examined at this present time?

OK J I have one or two idears to look at,The frist thing it could be is a wheel bearing ,if the noise changes to louder or quieter as you turn corners then I would look there. The second thing I would look at is maybe the hand break some times they stick and can bind so its hard to pull away if the rear wheels are getting hot then maybe?,Somtimes a wheel cilinder sticks and then again the breaks will bind so after a drive check the wheels, see if one is hoter then thew rest.
Let me know.
Dave.
