Default H22 Swap Done!!!! 5th Gen Accord PICS (56K No Way)

F22 Motor Coming out

Me hanging out where the F22 used to be.

H22 all prepped and cleaned.

Ported and polished the intake runners when I had the IM off.

In the car

Megan Header looking good.

I did an Auto to Manual so the engine doesn't sit right so the AC pulley is really close to the frame.

I put some washers on the drivers side mount since the passenger side sits alittle lower because the Auto Tranny Purch mounts a lil lower causing the motor it sit tilted.

I used a JDM H22 fuel rail so that the fuel feed would be on the correct side. The USDM one is on the other side.

Manual swap is was somewhat easy. Hardest part was drilling the hole for the Clutch MC. The bracket for the clutch pedal needs to be spaced out from the firewall. I also rigged a bolt to the top of the firewall for the top bolt of the bracket. The auto does not come with the mounting point welded in so I had to improvise. The shift linkage is bolt on and uses the existing holes for the cable and shifter plate. Wiring was straight forward if you understand how the gear position for the AT worked and the reverse lights.

If you have all Accord manual parts....its easy. I used prelude parts which made life a lil harder. The lines are different so you have to bend and fit everything. The holes for the shifter plate are about 1/4 off. The reservor for the clutch doesnt bolt in.

I got the Prelude manual swap parts for free from my cousins crashed car so I couldnt complain.

Note that the Accord MT and AT tranny side perches are different. You will either need to reweld the MT one in or redrill the holes. The MT perch is up and the the left more....right on a pinch weld that is already there. I have not redrilled the holes yet because I figured it all out after i got everything in. So the engine is not exactly level right now.

It was a 92 prelude S that the pedals and stuff came from.

you can also swap the f20 in it. I'd love to see a 5th gen with a TSX motor in it.
