Default JE wrist pins and Spark Racing Rod question

I got a set of JE pistons with wrist pins for my LS/VTEC, I also just purchased H-beam rods from Spark Racing. I was under the assumption that the wrist pins should easily slide into the rod opening since these require a lock...however, upon trying to slide them in it looks like the wrist pins are just a itty-bitty bit too big. Should I try to lube them and get tap them in myself, or do these need to be pressed? TIA

Edit

Also, would it be a problem to use a set of Arias spiro locks with this setup? Don't have the original JE's anymore.
