I need help with choosing an ecu...
Ok here is the deal, my ecu got fried some how. I don't know how it happen because the honda dealer are the people who told me it got fried. Funny thing is that I took my car in to get a recall fixed and after that they couldn't start my car and that was that. Turns out my ecu got fried up. Anyways my question is.. Is there a difference in ecu models? you know where the part numbers end where you see the P5M-???. I've seen different model numbers and I was wondering if they have different specs. My car has P5M-L03 but I can't find that computer anywhere except the dealer who wants to charge me $793.63 just for it. Not spending that much on an ecu. Anyways I've came across P5M-A02, P5M-L04, P5M-L54, P5M-L53. I basically just need to know if any one can work or which is the best one or what each specs are. If anyone can tell please do. Been sitting without a car for awhile so please help.
Come on dude, get your *** back down there and bitch bitch bitch. Complain to everyone you can think of and threaten a lawsuit if you have to. Obviously they did something to it accidentally when they were "fixing" your car.
Technically I wasn't supposed to pay for anything. Since I was getting a recall fixed. The recall was my ignition switch. Anyways they told me I wouldn't have to pay anything if my reason my car not starting in the first place was the ignition switch. I know it was just the ignition switch that was my problem cause I was checkin my entire car with a really experienced honda tech. We only found the ignition switch as the problem. ANyways now honda is charging me for the tow that I had to take over there and the initial diagnostics because "SUPPOSEDLY" it was not my ignition switch that caused the problem and the ECU just so happened to get fried.
