My wifes 98 accord cat converter has gone bad and it has over the maximum miles for the warranty. A friend of mine that works at a junkyard is gonna get me another one from an 02 or 03 model, will it work????

I'm not sure, but the 03 model would be a 7th gen accord. So your best bet would be to stick with a cat. from a 6th gen [98-02]. The cat from a 02 model should work perfectly, but to make sure, call a Honda dealer and find out. A cat from the junkyard would be the cheaper way.

 

Its free for me and he's already got it for me, this guy hooks me up w/ free stuff all the time. I'll just put it next to the one on my wifes car, if its the same length i'm gonna try it

 

Good idea. The one from the 02' model should work. Remember to not only check for length but bolt pattern as well. The 6th gen accord cat has three bolts.
