I have heard of them breaking and such, but I've never had a bad experience with them. As far as the PERFORMANCE is concerned, I think ITR cams are better, dollar for dollar. I tried all 3 of the grinds they offer, and I wasn't impressed.

I had the 63402's in my CRX and they ran good. It was a GSR motor w/ B16 pistons, skunk2 manifold and chipped ECU in my crx.
it ran 13.1@104, and made 188/135 at the wheels.

wish i could go back in time and install some ITR cams in that motor to see what it would have done.

I know a guy who raced with 403's all season with no problems. Drag racing that is.

Depends on the motor and tuning, but if you ask me.. I feel safer with ITR cams any day of the week.

I will have an answer for you soon. I will pick up my skunk cams tonight and install them this weekend. After I break them in, I will tune them and post a ITR cam vs skunk cam chart on my engine. Skunk told me I would see 8-10 hp over R cams with no other mods. I was turned on to them when I talked to a guy with them in a 1.8c1 and was running 13.5 in a 2nd gen. teg. He also said he was putting down 194 whp with jdm itr pistons and bolt ons. It was his first time on slicks too so i'm sure the times could go down with practice.

Run ITRs. I have seen 3 sets of Crowers crack and will NEVER purchase any of them. CTR/ITR Jun2/ITR or ITR/ITR. You can have Jun2 intake/ ITR exhaust for about 650ish. That's the way to go.

I put down 160hp to the wheels and 204hp crank with ITR cams.

end of next week I might be able to post a dyno plot to show how the crowers perform.. we`ll see.

for me ITR cams are to weak in midrange... I need the power between 2000 and 5500rpm, not above 6000rpm. our racing events don`t allow vtec enganging very often (mountain racing with serpentine curves) means accelerating from lower rpm out of the curve, pull up to 5000 just to enter the next curve.

What I need is torque, don`t care about peak power.

hehe...it looks there is dyno time in Europe next week. I go on thursday to climb the 240+ whp mark. Yes Babeeeee.
BTW: Where do you set the redline with your new setup?

Sven: drive the serpentines 1 gear lower to be in VTEC all the time

as an experienced driver I know that in many situations it is not possible to choose a smaller gear... coming near to the curve, braking into it, downshifting from 4th to 2nd and you`re at 3200rpm because it`s almost a 180 degree curve. btw, it`s the Taunus and the Eifel where I like to drive...

The redline... well, you know what the crower valvetrain is good for... The dyno runs will decide where the redline will be..

But there`s one thing I realize more and more.... Everybody tells you something different... It`s the first time someone`s telling me that ITR cams could perform more than a 297degree aftermarket cam..

Btw, Christian, I`ve changed my header-decision...

You´ll see, all things gona be fine. I think you´ll have 185whp, perhaps 190whp aith your setup. It is all about your tuners knowledge to play with the cam gears and the Power FC.

GOOD LUCK

I have crowers in my LS, ony reason crower break on are because dumbasses cant figure out how to tighten bolts evenly, or how to do a good valve adjustment.

Id listen to anything Wes says. Titan knows their ****. Maybe it was a few bad cams, but who cares, theyre obvously shitty quality. Ever seen any ITR cams break in 3 pieces? Didnt think so.... Just stick with OEM or some good cams like JUN or Toda.

Well at least its an LS head, they are a dime a dozen. BTW i have two complete LS heads 97+ for $150 (no t/b or distributor). If needed.

Thanks guys,

I wonder if one day I could enjoy my R without feeling insecure.
I`ve heard many bad things about Toda. JUN`s primary lobe is unchanged, they make power above 6000 which is not interesting for me...

Fuckit, I`ll keep the crower and drive it carfully.. no more races..
I`ve spent too much money in parts and can not swap this or that when I just like..

Thanks again.
