Default OT: Ow ! My wallet...

I think it says in the owner's manual you shouldn't drive over median curbs.

I wonder how much a new rim for this car costs?

Ouch, bet those wheels cost more than our cars

Wonder how much the undercarriage of the car was damaged

Looks like he either got forced off the road or found him/her self in a pinch and curbed it so as not to hit someone or something.
Notice the scrapes on the left side by the door handle.

Story is he got cut off by a SUV.

This guy recently had his car impounded for racing on a city road at 150 mph with another Porsche a couple of months ago.

Seeing as how this car has a ceramic braking system - he should be able to stop in time.

He was probably driving really fast - and cause the car is so low - someone cut him off and he didn't react in time.

This intersection is just down the street from my office. The median he is on is the beginning of a left hand turn bay. Right now the car is largely on the wrong side of the street.

If he can afford THAT car, I think he could afford to replace a couple of rims.

My cousins friend had an earlier model Porsche and each rims cost him over $1K to replace.
I am sure that these r a lot more than that.

Well seeing as how these ones are made of FORGED MAGNESIUM - my guess is about $5K per rim.

From the Porsche website:

Step outside and the car's uncompromising racing origins are powerfully reflected in the all-new five-spoke Carrera GT wheels. Measuring 19 inches at the front and a full 20 inches at the rear, these ultra-lightweight wheels are made from forged magnesium rather than more conventional aluminium alloy. State-of-the-art technology in Formula One, forged magnesium represents a major step forward in reducing unsprung weight. By limiting wheel momentum as the suspension compresses and rebounds, it is possible to maintain greater contact between road and tire and thus maximize traction under acceleration, cornering and braking. Another important benefit is the added structural density - and therefore durability - that is imparted by the forging process.

The wheels are mounted using a center-lock system with a single multi-point nut. This race-derived solution is combined with a high-strength hub and large-format bearings to achieve a more accurate wheel location.

It's the "uber" Porsche - The Carrera GT. V10 605 hp

0-124mph in 9.9 seconds.

They run around $450,000.00 each. Approximately $650K here in Canada

if that's the owner of that carrera GT... he doesn't deserve to own a car like that. >_< sounds like a total heat bag.

What are the chances he confused this car with his Cayenne and couldn't tell the difference?

These are the first Carrera GT wreck pics I have seen, I was wondering when they were going to start showing up on the internet.
I freakin love these cars we have about 6 at work right now 3 sliver and 3 black, and it brings a smile to my face everyday I hear one of these, sound is like nothing else I have ever heard.
