CRX-DX>>>>B18C
How hard is it going to be to swap in a GSR, into my 91 crx dx? Is it do-able by myself? I have most of the tools I'd need but I would have to rent an engine puller or something. Is it a weekend project or no? Any input is great, thanks!
its doable by yourself. have some friends over for helping hands and your set. you could do it in a weekend for sure, but make sure you do your homework before hand. make sure you have everything you need to start and finish the swap so you can just get into it and get done.
just do your homework.
just do your homework.
just depends on personal skills/speed. Everything is going documented by others, so its not liek you're going to run into any puzzles. as long as you can follow other peoples guides, break a couple tough nuts free, you'll be able to do it. If its your 1st big swap, i wouldnt plan on needing to use the car for atleast a week, better safe than sorry.

It took me about 30 hours to put the motor together, and install the motor. However the car was down for about 7 days onlt because I had to stop and go to work. I did a lot of research, DLed a copy of the CRX and GSR FSM and read those a lot. I also made sure that I had ALL of the parts bought before hand so I wouldn't have to go to the store to get it. I did all the work myself except for the part where I dropped the motor into the car. For this you will need at least one other person to watch and make sure you dont bang up the fuel lines, brake booster or anything else.
EDIT: also forgot to mention that it was my first time swapping a motor. However I am good with tools, and if I get a good set of instructions and some visual aids then that heps me a lot too.
