hey all, just got a free 89 zx600-c and i am trying to find any infromation on it. I've never ridden before and i kinda just had it given to me. Anyone know what things i should do ? maintence, etc?

lol, yes it runs, but i figure i've always wanted to ride and i'll use this to learn how. I can't find any info on it ANYWHERE. hp numbers, etc.

You'll likely put a few hundred $ into it to get it running right/safely if yer serious about keeping it and riding.

Replace tires,chain,sprockets,battery, spark plus, air filter, fork oil and seals, oil and oil filter then have valves adjusted.

have leakdown checked as those bikes were norious for valve seat problems (won't hurt to have compression checked too).

Pretty good bikes overall, just old now.

 

isnt that bike like the bike on top gun.
