Default winter steelie size help

hey guys,

I have a set of tires that are 195/75/r14. Now my question is, would a set of 14inch steelies with those tires cause any problems on my 5g lude? Im lowered on h&r race and koni yellows on the lowest perch...

that seems way too small, especially for a 5g

You might have an issue with the ATTS System. I just got some 15 inch steelies for my 5th gen and they said to make the overall tire and rim size close to the factory rim and tire size (205/50/16). I got some 195/65/15's and they work fine. If you already have the wheels and tires, I would say put them on and see if you bring up a CEL......if you don't, you are fine.

195/75-14's are quite a bit taller than the stock size, so there'll be all the issues that go along with that - although ATTS shouldn't care as long as both front tires are the same size.

But more importantly, 14" wheels won't fit over the stock brakes. 15's will fit fine, however.

How do you know if the thread poster owns a type SH? He just stated that he has a 5th gen. It's not shown any where that he owns a type SH.

Back on topic, would the 14 inch steelies clear the calipers? I'm not sure. If it does, I don't see anything wrong besides looking funky and stressing out suspension parts. You're going to be slammed!

IMO, just get a set of 15-16 inch steelies.

Edit: I just saw the post above mines.

lol, you are correct, damn im having a bad day

Daemione is correct though, 14's will not clear the calipers whether it's an SH or not.
