Wheel hop on acceleration.

Once and a while under hard acceleration I will get a lot of wheel hop especially
in first when I hit VTEC. This seems to happen more often when the road is a bit
wet as well. My car has been lowered with H&R springs about a inch and a half.
Usually I have let off the gas to stop this and on occasions with all the vibrations
the glove compartment has opened. The car has under 19,000kms(11,800Miles).
Would stiffer bushings or new springs help? Any help is appreciated.

The motor mont is 50 right? How exactly does that help?
Check out this site... http://www.energysuspension.com
They help by filling the open spaces left when the OE mounts were molded.
Z10 may be good for drag racing... but for road racing... having the motor stay close to it's original position is a good thing.
Next time you visit a dyno... check out how much the motor moves during a pull. Kinda scary... and the ZEE-TEN does not help that.

I have Mugen mounts in my Integra, and Prothane mounts in my Civic. No, not the Prothane inserts. The ENTIRE mount kit. You press out the meat in the stock front engine mount and insert this solid thing in there.
Can you say ******* VIBRATION? It's coo' because it's not my daily driver. The vibration can be soothing at times, also.

this kinda leads to a question /problem
I got ES inserts in my car .. on my old car i just had the front ones in.. I could tell it vibrated a helluva lot more.
this one i have all 3 and there isnt really any vibration... strange chit..
I think something is wrong. dunno what yet..
I get hella chatter through the clutch so i cant tell if im hoppin.

http://www.summitracing.com has them for like 37bucks + 7 handling charge per order...if you need anything else, get them at that time and save...like shifter bushings too! ES mounts...that's where I got em...

Yes wheel hop has decreased, but it isn't that hard to induce hop even with the inserts installed. AFter installing the rear insert a few weeks ago I was hoping to cure hop altogether, but no dice. All in all, it's a very good mod for the price, but it doesn't magically cure wheel hop in all cases.
I would try the cheapest thing first, wheel balance. It could cause wheel hop and vibrations. Chances are, with that milage, your due for tires anyway.
The thing is poly engine mounts won't stop tire shake which is attributed to the bushing in your lower control arms, however, the z10 bars will. On older cars with really worn lower control arm bushings, they do something that feels like wheel hop under extremely hard braking. This is due to the lower control arms ocillating back and forth so intensely that it shakes the drive train thru the axles. Needless to say with the radius arms Geoff designed this nolonger happens. Just a heads up. For anyone who does a lot of drag racing, motor mounts + radius arms are the way to go.
