Paint EG.. Leave sideskirts unpainted or painted?
Hey guys I'm going to paint an EG shell. It's going to be all stock body with stock sideskirts and the lip that comes off of EX's. I'll be painting the car champ white and I was just wondering if you guys think it looks better with painted sideskirts/lip or non painted?
hard to say...i like the look of both ways...but sometimes the painted sideskirts and side moldings look kinda off...as in the paint looks like its not gonna last on the surface of it...but id go with unpainted
I painted my sideskirts, stock lip, mirrors and side mouldings and really like the results. No paint issues either done three years ago still looks great. Depends on personal taste. My buddy's eg is champ white and lookks awesome with trim color matched. All up to the owner though. Me personally, painted.

A good example is that yellow EG hatch with the aftermarket skirts, etc. The GSR-TURBO one. Sorry I am drawing a blank on his user name but someone will know whats up. His is all painted, and it looks tastefully done and great.

Your car looks real nice. Anyone but me notice the EK skirts on the EG chassis
. Was that a difficult swap to do? I've seen it before and like it alot. Are you able to show some close-ups of those skirts wonder what it looks like behind the front tire. Nice car. I wish I could put up some pics but I dont have a dig. camera yet. maybe for XMAS

Hmm, mine are painted, and everyone else who got thier car painted locally also did.
^^ But those look really nice!
I think a big factor is the paint color. Some colors look good with the black trim, some look good one color, and them some colors look good either way, which creates a personal preference. Getting mixed results such as here will leave the decsion totally up to you.

Agree
Paint them

Paint them
honestly, it all depends on what color your car is. for example: RED - I WOULD NOT PAINT THE SIDESKIRTS! why? because on an EG, it just looks like there's way too much red, but on an EK it would look sweet because the body is much more aggressive and wider. for example, take a look at my old si hatch. i loved the black on red look.. it flows so nicely all around
