As far as I know, the sohc zc is equivalent to the D16a6, so those parts should be compatible. And the dohc is similar to the D16a1, so those parts should be interchangeable. Search more to confirm my thoughts.

And with pretty much all of the sohc D series motors from 88-2000, there is a lot of compatability between motors.
I.E , they'll all bolt up to the same trans, headers and intake manifolds are swappable, different heads from the years will bolt up, random internals can be used between eachother, i couldnt tell u exactly which ones, but it works.

thanx for the info, in the spring i'm going to do a zc dohc swap. I was trying to ask about the availability of parts for it (if the dohc had no parts i was going to go with the sohc). do you know the bhp of each zc.

Sohc ZC I believe is 120 with 103 torque
Dohc ZC - 130, with probably about 111 torque

the only difference with the sohc zc and the d16a6 is the cam. i've heard stories of slightly different shaped pistons

i run the dohc zc but i prefer the sohc zc becuase theres way more parts available cause its a single cam. the dohc zc is the oddball of the d series, cause its got 2 cams, and pretty much no aftermarket compared to any other d series motor out there.
