Vibration Issue (searched but no definite answer)
I have a 97 civic hatch with a jdm ITR swap. I have had vibration problems since I put the engine in the car. I think it has something to do with the axles. I had to replace one axle because the end splines were mushroomed from when they removed it from the donor car in japan. I got a 97 gsr axle and then later replaced the other axle with the same because of a leaking boot.
Now, my question is this....
Could my vibration be caused by using two US axles with a JDM intermediate shaft?
HELP ME PLEASE! I have searched, but no one clearly explains if this could be the problem. Explainations? Thanks alot!

I currently have this problem and it seems that a vibration while accelerating only is caused by BAD INNER CV JOINTS...
If its under any load at a more specific speed, its more than likely a wheel balance problem.
You probably got some old/bad axles...
I bought this set at Autozone and they are vibrating.

Also, I forgot to mention, the vibration only occurs under acceleration. It is fairly violent and if I am going up a hill or something it seems to get worse at low speeds while slightly accelerating. Enough to move the wheel about an inch or so.
yeah its the inner CV joints. Mine vibrate under heavy acceleration also.
Id say get some good aftermarket or OEM ones to be 100% sure your getting good axles...
Autopart stores are usually remanufactured and can be bad too. The ones I have vibrate and theyre less than a year old from Autozone...

mine does the same thing too when your going at a lower speed. So i changed the axles bought it NEW from NAPA and the car still vibrate so i know for a fact that it can't be the cv joints. My guess is the wheel bearing. And that's where i'll be looking at next

check the tie rod ends and wheel bearings. the JDM intermediate shaft is exactly the same as the USDM version. the issue you are describing i see quite often at work, it is very often inner tie rod ends or defective cv axles (much more frequent for the culprit to be a inner tie rod end).
