I have a 3rd gen Prelude and Im wondering if there is anybody that has attempted a automatic to manual transmission swap succesfully. If anyone one knows if it has been done is there any information on it that i could look at?

 

not sure how much you know about cars, but its pretty tough to hang a clutch. if you were going the other way (man to auto) i'd be somewhat easier, but auto to man on that old of a caris hard. i know a kid who did a auto to man swap on his 4th gen, and got so frustrated he took it to a shop and had them finish it up. good luck...

 

I have, it's not that bad.

 

was it a bitch hanging your clutch?

 

It wasn't too bad, but I had an alignment tool. The hardest part was raising the tranny and getting the input shaft to seat without tearing up the pressure plate fingers.
